In less than a week, our tomato seeds have sprouted, hope the others do too.

Grow! Grow! Grow!

Garden Box Completed!

Both Garden boxes completed.

We have our garden started! Grandpa, Chris & Connor were working hard building my garden boxes for me while Chris was home for a week after Dylan was born. We choose to do two garden boxes that are 4 foot X 4 foot, it is called 'square foot gardening'. The idea is to be able to grow lots of great veggies in a small area. We are attempting to grow the tomatoes, zucchini and cucumbers up-that is why the two edges are so high, so they can climb. And we had to make it so the darn bunny rabbits couldn't get into it and eat all my plants. And we put a special mixture of soil in along with a grid-that is what makes it true "square foot gardening".
We are growing a few different varieties of tomatoes & cucumbers, jalepenos, zucchini, carrots, radishes, pablanos, sweet onions, red onions, green onions, bell peppers, strawberries, lettuce, beans, peas, and a variety of herbs. We will see...I am hoping we grow some GREAT veggies this year.

You will have to email me to explain exactly how with works. It looks like a great plan if you don't have a lot of space. Did you get it from the internet or a book?
