Fort Meyer Beach
Wednesday, February 9, 2011
This is painful to look at this pictures! It is currently 16 degrees (the high) outside (with a low of 4 degrees)!!! I want to be back on the beach. The 80 degrees. And the sand. And the sun.
Here are a few of my favorite pictures...
I loved, loved loved the sunsets---
Then, the first full day there, we set up a dolphin tour by boat with Good Time Charter. Cheryl & I had a blast!!! We happen to be the only people on the boat, so we had extra special treatment. I had fun taking pictures.
The sky was beautiful....
The dolphins were amazing...

The dolphins were just amazing! Loved watching them jump out of the water and swim around.
Then we went to a beach...this was the view when we pulled up on boat...
Beautiful!
Then, we were searching for shells on the beach and just enjoying the nice warm sun, and my Starbucks...I could have gotten used to that....
We found a ton of awesome shells, but nothing compares to this amazing conch shell. It was still alive...
Cheryl & I had so much fun! We had fun from the moment we saw each other in the airport from when we said good-bye in the airport. It was so great to get away for a long weekend. But it was good to see the boys too. I missed them! Read more...
Fun playing outside in January
Tuesday, February 1, 2011
As we sit in the house, stuck home since most of the city is shut down on this icy cold first day in February, I am going through the last 4 days of pictures, which just happen to be playing outside and enjoying the 73 degree weather. Ha. Gotta love Texas weather!
Friday, we enjoyed riding bikes outside...
Dylan had fun learning how to ride his scooter...
But then, he got confident and tried to go fast...
And of course I had the camera ready for the falls. Neither child was injured. Good times were had by all.
Then later Friday afternoon, we walked to the park and met a friend there...
More pictures of the park soon, I promise. I had fun taking pictures of the boys.
Then Sunday, we headed to the zoo...
First stop was the carousel, as always. More zoo pictures to come soon too. I have a lot to go through :)
I am ready for the 70 degree weather to be back. This temperature in the teens and single digits with wind chill is COLD!
But the Florida beach is calling my name and as long as the planes can fly out Thursday afternoon, that is where I am headed...woohoo! Read more...
Food for Thought

Last weekend we had our basket pick-up for the produce co-op. It was full of such yummy stuff, just take a look...
First up was kale chips. I was so excited. I just wash, dry & chop the kale. Season with salt, pepper and grapeseed oil, pop in the oven for a few minutes and enjoy!
And I have a partner in crime who enjoys kale just as much as I do...
YUM, more please Dylan says!
I did use some of the kale to make some delicious soup, which is my version of Olive Garden's zuppa toscana...
Since Connor doesn't like this soup, he requested 'green soup', which to his surprise is broccoli & cheese soup....through a straw, of course...
And then to use the tomatillos, I had to make some green enchiladas...
They were delicious! And then, with the left-overs, made some delicious tostadas..
Love the delicious fresh fruits & veggies !!! Read more...

Connor's Birthday Party
Sunday, January 16, 2011
Connor had a great birthday party. Thanks to all our wonderful friends for celebrating with us. So fun. And Connor had a blast. Although he was a little impatient waiting for cake, ice cream, and presents. Haha. But that is to be expected.
Connor was so excited about the birthday shirt I made him...
And he picked out his cake months ago from Costco...
The kids had fun playing...
And Connor finally got to open his presents...
To end the night, the boys picked out some dino tattoos...
What a fun birthday party!
And today on his actual birthday, he got donuts & a smoothie for breakfast, hot dogs at the dino museum for lunch, and pizza for dinner. Yup, it sure was his day. So cute, but he loved it and couldn't be happier. We love you Connor!
