WSU vs. SMU

 Monday, September 20, 2010

We were happy that the Cougs were playing SMU here in Dallas.  Yah for 2 football games this season!  We left the boys at home with a baby-sitter (yes, for the very first time!!!  They had fun and did great!).

We met Andy & Becky (who I ran the last 10k with) for lunch before the game.  Beers were on the agenda...

The boys opted for a liter each of the seasonal Octoberfest, while I went for my favorite Hefeweizen.  Yum!  And had a delicious lunch at Gordan Biersch.  They had garlic fries...yummy!  I love me some garlic!

The game was fun.  HOT.  Not the best outcome.  And did I mention HOT?  It was 96 degrees and we were sitting in the direct sun. But we were sitting in the first row on the Coug sideline.  Of course, I decided not to lug my camera around, so all I have is cell phone shots.  Sorry ;-(

And see, even Butch was trying to cool off by sitting on some ice ;-)

Trip to Oklahoma/WSU Football Game...

 Tuesday, September 7, 2010

Chris & I headed to Stillwater, Oklahoma for the WSU vs. OSU Football game this weekend.  So fun!  The 5 hour drive was a little long, but I entertained myself by taking pictures on the way...

A whole lot of this...

A few old firetrucks...
Most of the towns we drove through had only one stop sign, if that...
My favorite were the cowboys riding their horses...
Then there were tons of tractors...
But this one held up traffic....
Some cute little towns...
Then, we got into Stillwater, checked into the hotel and headed to the WSU tailgate.  There were a ton of fellow Cougs there.  It is always great to see lots of Crimson.

Of course, I had to say hi to Butch...

First of all, the OSU fans are the nicest, most welcoming people EVER!  I am pretty sure we were never like that in Pullman.  It was so nice and refreshing that everybody was so nice.  I am talking nice like they welcomed us to their town, said good luck, asked how the team was looking, how far we came from, etc.  I mean, these people were so nice!  On that note, I have never seen so much Orange, ever.

The game could have had a less embarrassing score, but we still had fun!  Actually, we only lasted at the game until halftime.  We headed to Eskimo Joe's.  I found me a seat and sat at the bar for the next few hours.  Met lots of fun people.  Although a couple of guys decided to buy Chris & I some of these.

We should have politely declined, but I felt obligated, I mean, they shared their delicious cheese fries with me...yum!

But I sure enjoyed my beers.  And what a fun bar.

Dear Chick-fil-a:  I used to like you....

I had to  wave at Oklahoma City as we passed by...

Click here to see some pictures of the last time we were in Oklahoma City.  I just love the city.  Bricktown is just so cool.  It was hard to just pass by.

18 more days!

 Thursday, March 12, 2009

Well, we are getting closer & closer to meeting this little boy! As excited as we are, he needs to wait! We still have A LOT to get done before the end of the month! And family won't be here to help until the 24th. I had another doctor appointment today...everything looks good! My doctor just laughs at me because I am not begging to get this kid out! LOL. Chris & Connor both went along today & got to hear the heartbeat-it had been a long time since Chris got to hear it. I still feel tired after doing too much (you would think I would learn) and have had contractions every night for the past week and a half, but just random and not painful, and luckily they go away. But it is so weird feeling because I didn't feel any of that with Connor.

And, at last, Chris has a little break from school-so he now has a lengthy "honey-do" list of his own :) So, tonight we are up late watching the Cougar basketball game and cleaning and organizing and painting boxes! So, I guess Cougar basketball is helping us complete our list...we have another late night tomorrow night! So, I am looking forward to getting lots more done, fingers crossed!

This crazy weather! Yesterday it was 80 degrees and I was wearing a tank top as we went on a walk, today it was 30 degrees! I am ready for Spring!
