Elf on the Shelf...Woody, Day 5
Wednesday, November 30, 2011
Woody got into the pantry...apparently he likes oreos, dried pineapple, dino oatmeal, and chocolate & vanilla milk. The boys laughed about it this morning.
A sneak peak into my life...some things are interesting, some a little weird, and others just plain boring.

Apparently, our elf was practicing his dance moves last night! He got out the Wii and cowboy boots and was dancing along to some country music, in the boys boots. Connor thought it was hilarious.
Today I am thankful I am a Cougar fan -- and alumni, which is really no different. Even though we had a less than stellar Apple Cup performance, I am still just as much of a Coug fan.
Woody was busy last night playing on the computer, apparently he was on YouTube watching videos of Disney on Ice. He left us tickets for tonights performance. He said to have fun and take pictures. Our elf is pretty nice to us :-) The boys said he was a bad elf for playing with the computer, lol.
Well, our Elf from last year, Woody is here. Boys were very excited that he came back again. And since Woody doesn't talk, he wrote us a letter. So, we had to write him back.
I have a feeling the Elf will keep us entertained from now until Christmas. Check back for updates.
The boys begged to make these cute little turkeys using oreos and candy corns. They were thrilled...
Today I am thankful I got to take Connor to lunch, just him & I. Connor makes a great lunch date. We went to Kyoto's Japanese Steakhouse, Connor loves the places where they cook in front of you. It is food AND a show, can't go wrong there.
Today I am thankful for the rain we got. Our grass needed it and the lakes near us are finally starting to fill up a little. Slowly. It was a hot and dry summer and the lakes are certainly showing it.
Today I am thankful for lazy days. It is almost lunchtime and we are still in our PJ's. Well, Chris is off at work, so we made pancakes and decided to play and clean a little. And the boys decided I needed a little help with my hair --- they happily styled it for me....
Today I am thankful that Connor understands (a little, not completely) about the importance of helping others. We were talking about ways to help others and he asked if we could give backpacks and toys to kids who didn't have any. So, in December we will concentrate of a few things the boys can be invloved in giving within the community. If you any fun ideas for them, please let me know....
Today, I am thankful for libraries. The boys love going to the library and looking around. They think it is awesome to get to pick our a couple of books. Always a fun time for them. And it is always amazing just how many dinosaur books there are out there!
Today I am thankful for a fun Thanksgiving Feast at the boys school. They had fun and actually tried all the Thanksgiving foods, I was shocked. (Unfortunately, I didn't get a picture.)
Today I am thankful for my wonderful camera, which allows me (on occasion) to get some great pictures of the boys! Picutures sure are worth a thousand words...
Today I am thankful for SLEEP! I got a whole 7 hours of sleep! Woohoo! And we all got up and headed to Starbucks at just after 6am...the Starbucks employees were shocked to see all 4 of us, they know us, but we generally are there in part, hardly ever all 4 of us. It was pretty funny. And we got donuts, the boys were thrilled. Ahhh, sleep how I missed you! Let's hope the trend continues...
Today I am thankful for still being somewhat athletic!! Although I am not in the best shape anymore, I do play on a co-ed softball team AND a co-ed volleyball team. Unfortunately, both teams aren't very good, maybe I am common denominator?!?
