Today I'm thankful I was able to coach these amazing 8 kids. We had an awesome season. They were the sweetest
most energetic boys, but they improved so much over the season. Read more...Thankful in November - Day 8

This is a simple one. I am very thankful for COFFEE. It's no shock I'm a coffee lover. After my normal 2 cups at home this morning, I had a surprise visitor at work bring me my favorite Starbucks treat :) He sure knows how to brighten my day & make me smile :))

Lovely Weather!!
Sunday, July 15, 2012
And by lovely weather I mean NOT over 100 degrees!! Today's message
at church was "Trusting God" and talking about Psalm 23. Which is easy
to say, but not as easily to live by. Especially if you are like me and
like to have a certain matter of control over situations and putting
your trust in somebody else is difficult. It is a learning process and
will someday be easy for me. I am a big believer in the
sayings..."Everything happens for a reason." -AND- "God's plan will be
revealed in time". Which is extremely difficult since I am less than
patient.
Connor has beyond amazed me this week with his excellent bike riding skills. I am SO proud of him. This week was the very first time he attempted riding his bike without training wheels. Actually, he hasn't had much interest in riding bikes -- I have been known to bribe him with skittles and chocolates :-/
The boys love spending time outside:
This is the face I get when I tell them it is time to go inside...
But on occasion, we do some fun crafty inside projects, like painting:
Here are a couple videos:
Finally found my all-time favorite summer fruit here all the way from Yakima...
Well, until I went to this BBQ place and this was the option...

Fireworks & Fun
Sunday, July 8, 2012
The message from church that most made me think was 'treat others and
do for others how you would want to be treated' - not even sure a
specific bible verse was used, but the church had just wrapped up a
Summer food drive. So, it is my goal to start looking at where I can
help within the community.
We had some fun celebrating the 4th of July...
But they sure were entertaining for them waiting for the fireworks to start!
Then, the morning of the 4th, we got up and went and fed the ducks -- they had so much fun. And there were turtles too to feed. So much fun!! I took my other camera too, so I am pretty sure I got some really cute ones of them -- once I have some free time, I will go through them. Ha.
And the boys sang a birthday song for Grandma on her birthday.... too cute!
Red, White, and Blue star cookies....yum :)
The boys got their choice of pizza for dinner....
I think they most enjoyed the pizza dough. But I sure LOVE this pizza...
And of course, a beer compliments pizza perfectly...
Then we went and watched more fireworks with friends...always a good time!
And here are some highlights of yummy food, I am a bit obsessed with all things food:

Happy July!!
Sunday, July 1, 2012
Happy July! I got a quick run in after church today and it RAINED --- it was lovely. Running in the rain is my favorite thing to do, but it would have been much more enjoyable if it wasn't still 90 degrees.
In
my attempt to continue to update family & friends far away with
pictures, I have come back to the blog that I hope to update each
Sunday. Let's see how it goes! (I had attempted to start a new one, but just decided it was too much work!!) Here it goes...
Favorite reading from church today...
Do not worry about tomorrow; tomorrow will take care of itself. Sufficient for a day is its own evil. -Matthew 6:34
Also, during church this is how Connor was entertained during church -- a 'word find'. He much enjoyed it.
Oh these boys...gotta love them!
